It's that time of year again where hundreds of people come together to celebrate their love for Richmond. CHALK UP THE TOWN is on its way.
Over the last two years we have had thousands of people come out and cover the sidewalks with beautiful art. It's an activity for all ages to come together and celebrate the city through chalk. A couple tents will be set up along Cary Street for you to get free chalk. All you have to do is show up and create; it is simple and very fun!
Chalk Up The Town happens Saturday April 20, 2013 from 1-4pm. Chalk is free and provided. more here

This race is a Carytown tradition. It is again being held in front of the Cary Court Shopping Center. The course is relatively flat and features scenic Cary Street and Grove Avenue. This is one of RRRC’s largest races and is a signature event for the club. more here |

During "Taste of Carytown" Restaurant Week, the neighborhood's fine dining establishments will feature a one-time-only, two-course lunch and three-course prix fixe dinner, while its more casual restaurants will offer special bargain menus of their own.. Each participating restaurant will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Richmond Public Schools Education Foundation. Get an award winning meal while supporting our community and its education efforts. more here
Update: On behalf of the Carytown Merchants Association and the participating restaurants Amour Wine Bistro, Blow Toad, Bonvenu, Extras, Mezzanine and Nacho Mama's for the Carytown Restaurant Week in August 6th-12th, 2012, we are proud to have presented a check for over $3200.00 to Richmond Public Schools Education Foundation.
